Prorectorate for Administration (PROAD)

The Prorectorate for Administration – PROAD is a central executive body of Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina whose aim is to assist the Rector with administrative tasks, with an emphasis on the basic infrastructure required for the full development of teaching, research and outreach activities at UFSC.

The responsibilities of the Prorectorate for Administration are:

• coordinate and monitor the implementation of actions related to the University’s administrative policy, as established by the University Council, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations;
• propose and monitor the implementation of the University’s management policy with regard to the execution of administrative procedures related to movable assets, purchasing and bidding services, negotiation of administrative contracts, concessions and agreements, initiation of administrative processes, receipt and dispatch of correspondence, and provision of graphic services, with a view to ensuring the proper execution of the university’s core activities;
• issue ordinances and other administrative acts necessary for the performance of its duties; and
• carroy out other activities pertaining to the area or that may be delegated by the Rector.
